FCCLA - Family Careers and Community Leaders of America

    The only CTSO with family as its main focus. FCCLA promotes personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Focusing on multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development; creative and critical thinking; interpersonal communications; practical knowledge; and career preparation. Students are able to enhance their leadership skills by competing in a project of their choice.  Find STAR events.

    DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.  We travel, we compete, we make money, we run the school store and our decal business, we meet people from all over the world, we earn scholarships, we have fun, we practice our leadership skills, we network with real business leaders and we are preparing for our futures. Since four out of five careers demand marketing skills...get them now in the marketing class and in DECA!

    Preparing for Leadership in the World of Work

    SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel. SkillsUSA helps you prepare for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. Enhance your skills learned in Technology and Engineering classes by competing with students from around the state or even the nation! Competition areas include: welding, carpentry, problem solving, automotive, robotics, technical drafting (CAD), precision machining and many others.

    What does it mean to be a DCE FBLA member? It means that you are a part of a group that prides itself on social, professional, and community service activities within the DC Everest community and school. We get to know each other and have fun through our FBLA sponsored events. We learn new things about business, attend conferences around the state, and work on job skills to give you the competitive advantage when you leave DCE. Finally, we give back to the community that has given so much to help our members succeed.
